This unique architectural structure in the middle of the Mojave Desert in southern California needs your support and help!
RUSSIAN CALIFORNIA — Even if you do not profess any religion, this engineering marvel of the last century must be preserved for future generations of the Golden State.
The St. Madeleine Church is an architectural marvel located in Searles Valley in the County of San Bernardino. Remarkably, the church was designed and built by the local priest, showcasing a unique take on Catholic architecture.
Unlike traditional Catholic churches, which are often adorned with numerous statues and paintings, this one is strikingly minimalist, with none of the usual embellishments.
We all hope that this unique structure will soon be renovated and opened to all local residents and the many tourists who often pass by this religious building on their way to the Death Valley. St. Madeleine Church has a Facebook page.
